Auto Liability Insurance
Auto liability insurance protects you against legal liability as a result of bodily injury you cause on someone or property damage you do to another’s property as a result of a covered accident. Bodily injury coverage provides protection for non-passengers that were injured in an at fault accident, and covers both their injuries and lost wages. Property damage coverage may pay for damage you cause to another person’s property, including their vehicle, home, or storefront. Auto liability is required in every state.
Auto Physical Damage Insurance
Auto physical damage coverage combines collision insurance and comprehensive insurance. This coverage is similar to the coverage that you may have for your personal auto. Collision insurance provides coverage for your tow truck if it were to collide with another vehicle or object. Comprehensive insurance provides coverage for damage to your truck if damage is not from collision with another vehicle or object, such as fire or theft. Many lienholders often require physical damage coverage, so it is important to read through your loan agreement of your tow truck and other vehicles.
